Quick start

Get your Belcard tapping in under 5 minutes.

This guide assumes you have a physical Belcard. Haven't ordered yet? See pricing →

Step 1 — Create your account

Visit belcard.app/signup. Enter your name, email, and a password (minimum 8 characters). An account is created instantly along with a default profile at belcard.app/p/yourname1234. You can change your username once from Dashboard → Settings.

Step 2 — Activate your physical card

Your Belcard packaging includes a chip ID printed on the inside flap, in the format BC-A3F7C912. To link the chip to your profile:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Card.
  2. Click Activate physical card.
  3. Enter the chip ID from your packaging.
  4. Click Confirm. The chip is now paired to your profile URL.

Step 3 — Build your profile

Go to Dashboard → Profile. The editor has three tabs:

  • Profile tab — set your display name, tagline (e.g. Engineer · Leapfrog Technology), and a short bio.
  • Links tab — add your LinkedIn, phone, email, website, GitHub, Twitter, and more. Drag the handle to reorder. Visitors see links in this order.
  • Card tab — choose a theme: Void, Obsidian, Aurora, or Solar. The live preview on the right updates instantly.

Hit Save changes when done. Changes go live immediately — no deploy step.

Step 4 — Tap it

Hold your Belcard to the back of any NFC-enabled smartphone. On iPhones (7+, iOS 14+), hold the card to the top of the device. On most Androids, hold it to the centre-back.

The browser opens your profile in under a second. The 3D card viewer loads, your links appear, and you're live.

ℹ️ Every tap is tracked as an nfc_tap analytics event. You'll see it appear in Dashboard → Analytics within seconds.

Step 5 — Share your link digitally

You don't need the physical card to share your profile. Copy your profile URL from the card preview on your dashboard overview and share it anywhere — WhatsApp, LinkedIn bio, email signature, or QR code.
