How to Set Up Your Belcard Profile in Under 60 Seconds

From unboxing to your first tap — a step-by-step walkthrough for new Belcard users who want to go live fast.

The goal with Belcard was always to make setup invisible — you should be able to go from receiving your card to your first professional tap in under a minute. Here's exactly how to do it.

Before you start

You'll need:

Step 1: Create your account (15 seconds)

Go to belcard.app/signup. Enter your name, email, and a password. That's it — no email verification required to get started, no credit card, no phone number. You're in.

A profile is automatically created at belcard.app/p/yourname1234. You can customise the username later from settings.

Step 2: Add your links (25 seconds)

Head to Dashboard → Profile → Links tab. Add at least two links — we recommend LinkedIn and your email as a minimum starting point.

The drag handle on the left of each link lets you reorder them. Whatever you put first appears most prominently. For most professionals, LinkedIn first is the right call.

💡 Don't overthink this. You can add, remove, and reorder links any time — your card updates live. Start with the basics and add more later.

Step 3: Pick a theme (10 seconds)

Go to the Card tab in the same editor. You'll see four themes:

The live preview on the right updates as you click. When you're happy, hit Save changes.

Step 4: Activate your physical card (10 seconds)

Navigate to Dashboard → Card → Activate physical card. Enter the chip ID from your packaging — it looks like BC-A3F7C912. Click Confirm. Done.

Your chip now points to your profile. Any phone that taps it will open your profile in their browser.

Your first tap

Find a colleague, friend, or your own second phone. Hold the card to the back of an iPhone (near the top) or Android (near the centre). The browser opens. Your profile appears.

Check your analytics dashboard — you'll see the tap registered within a few seconds.

What to do after your first tap

The whole point of Belcard is that it gets out of the way. Once it's set up, you don't think about it. You just tap.
